the End is VERY Near

So as I am sitting here I am thinking of all the things I should be doing like maybe studying form my one last exam that is Monday morning or packing up my room that I have to move out of in 3 day. But I just can't no I refuse to do those things right now. All I want to do is relax and take everything around me in. For me this past school year has been such a world wind for me.

I graduated from Young Harris in May went home for the summer moved to Savannah Ga did not like it moved back home over Christmas Holiday Moved to Charleston to go to Charleston Southern University

and now well here I am again packing up and getting ready to move. When I came down to Charleston I had no intentions of ever leaving this school again, Shot I didn't even think I would come home for the summer but Boy was I wrong. As I am packing up I keep thinking about how I am going to in a different country next semester. I am going to be thrown into a completely different culture with a completely different language. Obviously that brings up lots of fear and nervousness but recently I have decided to quit worrying about the future whether it be what I'm going to be doing when I graduate or even the next month. Worrying about those things will get me no where! God clearly says in Matthew 6:34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today"I know that God has a plan for my like (Jeremiah 29:11) and He will never fail me. there will be troubles in my life but God he will be there to help pick me up when I need it or cheer me on when I'm close to home plate. God has such an amazing plan for me that I could never imagine. So why should I sit here and steal worry from tomorrow? Going through life with out worrying about tomorrow just gives you such a different perspective on life you tend to start appreciating what is here now they blessing all around us that we may other wise take for granted. So as I sit here and start packing my life up in boxes I am going to remember all the amazing time I have had this semester in Charleston and how part of me dosn't want to leave but also be comforted that even thought the future is so unknown I am going to be guided by the author of my life along the journey that He has in store for me.

the next leg of my life will take me to some amazing places in this World and I am so truly blessing to have a Savior that has given me these opportunities and family that has supported me on everything that has come my way

Finals Week

This is the one week college students all across the world dread. Me, well I have been dreading it from day one. Marked ti on my calendar the first week of school and been looking at it ever since. This year has been a little different for me for some reason. I have NO stress about my test. But I am stressing over the fact that I'm not worrying about my test. But at this point there is not much I can do about it since finals start tomorrow with Anatomy with one every day after. So this will probably be the last up date for me this week. anyway I'm off to study a little anatomy before the big test

This will be my view for the next week. Such a beauty

Farmers Market Frenzy

Today Kelsey and I went to the farmers market downtown. I think I found my new heaven on earth. It was full of fun crafts and lots and lot of food that looked so yummy I had to really use a lot of self control to not just walk around an buy all that yummy food. But I did splurge of two treats today.

Well one treat wasn't exactly at the farmers market but It was equally as good!! ever since we went to this yogurt store for Lindsey Card's birthday I have just been craving some more so today was the day!! Frozen yogurt is probably my new favorite thing!

Ok back to the farmers market. ever since I left Young Harris I have really dreamed about the peanut man's boiled peanuts. I swear he makes the BEST ones ever!! well at the market today they had some of these babies and so we just had to get some. They tasted a lot different than the ones we got at the peanut mans but they were still pretty good!!

That was all my fun for today, unless you want to count the 5 hours of studying as fun?

But I will make up for it tomorrow as Kelsey and I embark on making our first holiday meal. I am in charge of making the ham so we will see about that.

Lets all remember with this weekend if for. Its not about the food but its about our rinses King and the blood He shed for us on the cross.

My little Wallie Bird

So me and Mr. Wallie have had some quality bonding this semester. See I am his babysitter and I occasional go and walk him and hang out with this little fellow. I was never much of a dog person but I am a sucker for Wallie. I even tough him how to shake this semester with lots of bribing form treats. He is such a fun dog but I have to admit he is a big baby and a cuddler.

He Has Risen

At CSU they have a Thursday night service called elevate for us college students. Well today they had the last one of the semester, I know its Wednesday but it was moved for a good reason. They had a combination service downtown today for all the colleges in Charleston. It was a lotof fun and really awesome to see other college students from all over Charleston coming together to worship our God.
At this service they had a raffle that I entered and well I just so happen to win. I never win things so I was kind of surprised with they announced my name.
During the service a guy from CSU painted a picture that was being raffled off so that was my prize. This picture really doesn't do it justice its really pretty and it only took him about a hour and a half to do it amazing!!! I really love it and now have a new picture for my future apartment that maybe one day I will be moving in!

Tuesday Time

So my little story for today is from first semester freshman year. The whole summer before and the few week that I had been at YHC I had been praying for God to bring some people into my life that would be my life long college friends! well during this weekend God answered my prayers and brought the most amazing friend into my life!! I love her so much and I am so grateful for her. She has walked by me in my toughest time and was always there for me no matter what.

At Young Harris they have a spiritual life retreat at the beginning of each year. Well freshman year I knew Lindsey S and kind of new Ali. Well In my literature class I meet Lindsey Card and Kelsey Hudgins. I found out that Lindsey was going to SLR and didn't really know anyone else either. So we planed on sticking together during this little adventure. Well to start off this retreat you have to get there and usually the sophomores drive the freshman well me and Lindsey got there and what do you know all the cars were full so we get to ride with the adult chaperon K Fox. Well at first we were kind of weary of that but it ended up being really interesting we got to know him and each other a little better. Well we get to the retreat at Camp Glisson in Dahlonega Georgia well it was such a fun weekend!! We canoed down a river for 3 long and tiring hours, had an amazing worship service and had some quality bonding time at the waffle house. This weekend is such an amazing weekend for the student at YHC its the mark of a new year and a time for us to get focused on God before we conquer the up coming semester. This is a special tradition at YHC that I love!

"Were back in business brothers"

Love you Linds

thank you so much for always sticking by my side you have been such an amazing friends and I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Getting my Ducks in a Row

I love these little Ducks on campus. They always crack me up when its raining outside because they dig in the dirt with their beaks. Personally I have never seen ducks do that before!

Another thing I love is the fact that God brought me to such an amazing school here in Charleston! I love knowing that the school I go to foundation is centered with Christ!

Sunday Funday

This is how I spent my Sunday afternoon today. Well sort of I studied off and on for most of the after noon for my Anatomy Lab Practicum Thursday. I have pretty much decided that if I could talk all my exams tomorrow I would I don't even care what I make on them.

Also today my sweet new friend Danielle invited me to a prayer group she is starting here in Charleston. It very encouraging to know that there are people here in Charleston praying for me this week!!

Love Gave

So today I got the privilege of participating in a mission Called Lovegave. Its a church here in Charleston called River Church with this mission group they are doing different projects around the city earlier this year they did a bike drive for kids in the city that didn't have a bike.

Now they are working on a project at a school in town. Their goal is to completely repaint the entire school and do other little projects around the school. This school is not in the nicest part of town so it is really old and really could used some updating. So anyways they teamed up with Mission Continues and are working around the clock for the next week to help out this school. Today we started on the hall ways and by 12:30 this morning we were half way done so im sure that they are going to finish on time!!

Tonight I went to dinner with my friends Kelsey and Zach's family at the best restaurant called RB's on Shem river!! I just love this place

here are some pictures of the view off the deck tonight!! I am so blessed to live is such a beautiful city!

Fridays

What I love about Friday is..

the fact that I can lay in bed all day watching Bones and not feel one ounce of guilt for not working on homework.

That I know I have the whole weekend to do what ever I want and there is no school schedule to run my life!

I love know that I get to have fun moments of my life with my friends!

Friday is probably my most favorite day of the week!!

Who Knew Magic Candles Actually Worked

Had such a fun day today!!!

It was my good friend Zach's birthday today so we got the idea to have a surprise party for him!

So our first and only location choice was Moe's, a favorite of the birthday boy and everyone else! Shrimp and I went earlier this week and got all the Pokemon stuff we could find for a party, which consisted of a table cloth, plates, and some little confetti. We also got a cake from Publix I had to make an extra 15 min trip out of the way just for Publix cake because its just simply the best!

So anyways after my dreadfully long anatomy lab today I headed over to Moe's and set up all the decorations. I didn't really ask Moe's just kinda did it hoping they would mind, which they didn't. Im sure that all the other people thought we were a little crazy there is a bunch of grown almost adults at Moe's with Pokemon stuff having a birthday party but we had fun with it. We had the place all decorated and were just waiting around for Zach and Kelsey's arrival.

When they got there our cars through him off. I knew i should have parked further out but oh well he was still really surprised and quite embarrassed buy us but that ok just shows how much we all love him!

A funny story from the cake process. We decided to get those candles that don't blow out but relight after they are blown out. Yes they were really funny but it turned out something that we probably should not have gotten for a restaurant there was so much smoke from the candles I thought that the fire alarm would go off. So as we all try to franticly get the candles Shrimp was like just throw them in the water so we threw them in his cup and they melted a hole in the cup so them water was leaking everywhere. It was so funny we all got a really good laugh and I got some of it on video. Not the brightest idea to get but they were defiantly entertaining

All and all I think Zach really had a great time and enjoyed it! apparently he hates pictures so he got a little camera shy. but here are a few snap shots from the evening.

A Strange, but Wonderful Day

If you know one bit you know that I am a HUGE lover of anything sweet!! Right now I seem to be on a chocolate kick. So today on my little trip to Publix I decided that I needed a cup cake that was vanilla with chocolate fudge icing. well they didn't have just one that I could buy so I got them to make a special one for me and boy was it good or what!! not only did it have the chocolate fudge yummieness but it was Publix cake which in my opinion is the best!!! Sadly this was the highlight of my day today

It was such a weird day for me. My roommate already left for the weekend/rest of the week so I have been enjoying the freedom to have the tv off today and just rest all day. I took two long naps which is super wierd for me because I just don't take naps never have. So to take two in one day has really thrown me off. Don't get me wrong it has been so nice to relax all day but now at 12:30 I am wide awake, when i was really hoping to actually go to sleep before 2:00 AM for once. but enough with that.

Today at Chapel our campus minister made a statement that has kinda hung out with me all day. He was talking about a statement that a man who survived 911 said when he spoke at school. That statement something like He was coming out of tower one and everyone around him was sure they were going to die the tower was starting to fall and they were out of the building but still very close to it. As the building was falling they got in a huddle and every one was starting to cry out for God. this was a mixture of people, they were not all Christians. What is so interesting about this statement is that when you think about a tragedy you always here people crying out to God, never anyone like Allah or any other gods out there its always Jesus that they turn to for comfort. I think back on the tragic times in my life and remember how much I was crying out to God for help and hope and then I think about all the time in my life when everything is going just perfect. I think about how stagnant my walk with Christ is at some points. I guess what I am getting at is that all people search for a hope and a future especially in times of tragedy. We should approach every day as if its a tragedy, we should fervently seek God with every day that passes. We don't know what tomorrow hold but for the moment that were in we should be living like Jesus did when he was on earth. We should work everyday to further His kingdom and show the Love that He has showed us.

I know thats kinda jumpy but its just been my day and the thoughts that have gone on in this crazy head of mine as I napped

Taken it Back Tuesday!

So today i am going to go back on a good memory of a day last may.

So when Lindsey Sirmons and I moved in to Rollins at Young Harris I was given a bunch of carpet by Alyshia Powell's husband. So on move in day my mom get us some carpet tape to keep the carpet down. Come to find out a year later, while we were trying to get our room cleaned up for move out, that this was like serious tape. like it isn't just to hold a rug down or a piece of carpet. We started in the middle of the room for some reason. I don't know our logic behind that but its what we did. Well that part came up beautifully just a little Goo Gone. Well there was only one more strip left and it was on the edge where we walked the most. Well the carpet came of the tape so easy but that tape well it sure did not want to come off that floor!

So we started the adventure of getting that tape off. So our supplies for this project consisted of 2 metal scraper things and about 3 big bottles of spray Goo Gone.

We work and we work and we work for about a good 6 hours with a little break in between to get more Goo Gone. After all this time we finally got it up for the most part, enough up that we could pass our room inspection anyway.

this was such a fun time for me and Lindsey to laugh, laugh, bond and spend our last few days as roommates. I cant help but laugh a little when I look back at the picture I have of us crawling around our floor, scraping for endless hours at some nasty goo and having nasty sticky skin for like a day after we were done.

Lindsey Sirmons has been such a wonderful friend and this is just one of the many funny memories that I have with her!

Life Lately

Stagnant

that has been my life lately. I feel like everything from friendships to school work has been just plain stagnate. Not going anywhere but backwards. I have wrestled with myself as to why I have been feeling like this. could it be the fact that I am so far away from the ones I love? or so far away from the one who has loved me since before I was born?

I may bot know the reason for this stage in my life. But its not a stage I am comfortable with. Having being someone who struggled with anxiety and depression this stage in my life has brought back a lot of memories that I have refused to think about since that season of my life. So with that being said I have been using this time for evaluate myself figure out what God wants from me why He has put me where I am at this point. the first and most recognizable thing I have been able to pin point is something I have always struggled with and that is being in the Word daily. Although I still don't do that everyday I have become more conscious of the need for this in my life. This time of everything around me being stagnate has allowed me to rediscover my faith continue to build up my relationship with Christ.

This season in my life has also been filled with a lot of moving. I have gone from place to place school to school.I have investing in friendships with people that may not still be there but they will have a special place in my heart. I strongly believe that God brings people in our life for a reason and I truly believe that about the friends I have made that past year.

I guess what I am trying to get at here is that our lives are full of different seasons we will encounter different trials that will build us up and seasons of Joy that will encourage us. But through everything we should always remember the maker behind it all. God knows us he has a plan for us and He will not allow us to go through something we can not handle.
